What's Wrong With The Body Of Christ?
Written By Dr. J.L. Hutchinson Jr.
We all have needs, but in light of our human nature our problems can sometimes dominate our emotions. We all look for something, someone or some group to give us relief. In the past the Church was that place. Years ago people knew they could go to the local church for physical & financial relief. Unfortunately things have changed over the years; generations of tradition have faded anyway. Mother’s & Fathers are no longer the primary figures of authority in their household anymore. The family structure has been redefined by the influence of today’s decaying society. The alternative lifestyle has made its way from a once defined mental illness, to a “new state of mind.” Yet, the church has been sleeping for years and continues to rest it's head on a pillow of disillusion.
Most church leaders think the church is for them; however the church is intended for the sake of others. Christian believers are to be “the church” and not the churches building. The church itself is meant to resident in the hearts and a mind of its attendee’s not the physical non- living building. In other words the church is a people and the building is simply a gathering place for believers.
Too many Pastors have led their sheep down the wrong road in believing that activities in the church are for believers only. Jesus said, I come to seek and save those who are lost.” If you have been a non- impact Christian and have been attending the same church for more than 5 years something is wrong! Jesus said “go out into the world for the lost and make disciples,” not members. Some churches resemble night clubs with a one drink minimum. Communion is the drink of choice and self-serving events has become the agenda. God forbid, if I am wrong, may He correct me. How many times has the church closed its mouth when they should have cried loud and spared not? The Government has had a field day for years using the clergy to pray for their selfish agenda versus the needs of American people.
We have developed this condition because of the self-serving position of some churches. The body of Christ is barely looking out for its own body, yet we have lost our sense of true ministry. The days of throwing a few bags of food at the feet of the poor are over. People all around the country are hurting and hungry for spiritual relief. I am not trying to say that every church has failed its mission for Christ to the people, but many have done just that. I believe that GOD is raising up a new generation of Christians that will serve his order of business without compromise.
These Christians are not operating in the traditional movement, are willing to boldly spread the gospel by any means necessary. Using both the traditional written holy bible as well as today’s vast forms of technology these believers are making a noteworthy difference for the Kingdom of God.
Christian Crown Ministries is one of those ministries, founded by Pastor Dr. Jimmy L. Hutchinson Jr. out of San Diego, California. This ministry uses empowerment training and personal development among other resources to empower today’s believers. CCM trains, cultivates and encourages believers to start up ministries, business and charities for the building of God’s kingdom.
Pastor Hutchinson often says, "If we train and develop believers through practical applications, we can build strong communities with strong moral values. These believers are what Pastor Hutchinson likes to call "Impact Christians". These end time believers’ step outside the walls of the church and impact families, communities and institutions for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord.
