Priorities of Life
1) Give God a chance first. Many people go through life without really understanding God and what he has done for us out of love. When you take the time to experience God you will find that the outcome of having a personal relationship with someone as wonderful as God will satisfy every need, want and desire you could have, but it takes being obedient and trusting in God that he will fulfill on his promise. God's hand is always at work in our lives on a day-to-day basis and a lot of the time we are not conscience of it because we have not accepted God into our lives. Once we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, it is then up to God to direct us in the path to which He has chosen us to do His will. And only then will you find true happiness and contentment, knowing that you have a relationship with God as your best friend at your side as you fulfill His purpose.
2) Learn to save money. A lot of us hear that we need to save money and many of us give it a good effort, but what is it that we are really saving money for?
3) Learn to spend less than you earn.
4) Don’t finance pleasure items.
5) Have cash in an emergency fund.
6) Control your credit cards.
7) Have adequate life insurance for your family- ($250,000 - $500,000)
8) Be self-insured for life insurance by 65 or retirement.
9) Have retirement plan in progress by age 40. God's purpose for our lives is to leave a legacy of our lives so that people will remember what we stood for.
10) Own your home by 65 or retirement.
11) Have a workable budget – key discipline and control.
12) There is a difference between debt and obligations.
13) Understand the TAX law as it applies to you.
14) Have an estate plan that includes a will and/or a living trust.
Use these principles to develop a financial plan for your life.
